Sony Mylo 2, Ipod Touch Question?
I’m at a cross between getting an Ipod Touch and the second generation Sony Mylo. So far I would say the Ipod Touch. But theres one thing that really interests me about the second Mylo which I would like more information on. The download/upload feature. Now when it says the Mylo can download does that mean I can download anything I want off the internet. I want to know if I can download limewire, tv episodes off random websites like Naruto, and if I can just download stuff like that. Can I just take a picture with the Mylo’s camera and upload it onto myspace, facebook, ect…?
The only reason I would want the Mylo 2 over the Touch is because it may be able to download things like that onto it. I want to download gba emulators or ps2 emulators and add games onto the Mylo so I have a personal gba or ps2 as I do on my computer. Does the Mylo 2 have that type of power, I don’t think the Touch does. If the Touch does please tell me.
I have a touch and I absolutely love it. There isn’t a single day that I don’t use it. The internet ability is uncomparable since it isn’t a mobile internet it is the REAL internet. Every website is on there not like most mobile devices where it’s this crap internet that only a few sites can be accessed. The touch can go anywhere on the internet. However the touch internet is only through WI -FI therefore you can only use the internet in wi fi places – most hotels, a lot of restaurants, your home, electronic stores. So there still are a lot of wi fi places. The touch can’t download any 3rd party software so flash players and downloading pictures from the net is out of the question. That kind of sucks if a video you want to see is not on youtube – the touch has a youtube player built in. But regardless the internet capability blows away all competition – except for the iphone(internet everywhere).
I don’t know too much about the mylo but I do know that viewing movies and listening to music and viewing pictures is fantastic on the touch. Movies load very fast and are a good size on the screen considering that this thing is a thin mobile device. All songs fill the album art to the entire screen that makes it really cool. You even get the cool cover flow thing when you turn your touch to the side. Pictures you can zoom in and zoom out by pinching and spreading your fingers. To go from one picture to the next you just flick your finger. It is actually quite fun flicking through pictures.
Although I don’t know much about the sony’s download capability if it can download things that would be the ONLY advantage. The touch would probably be the best in every single other area.
