Palm Iiixe

is the palm IIIxe good?
what can I do with it? is $40 a good price or should I pay a bit more and get something better? are accessories like a keyboard cheap? I like the idea that it takes nimhAAAs that I already have.
thanks
This was a great PDA 7 or so years ago. The price is enticing. It all depends on what you want to do with it and how long you want it to last. The world of PDA’s is moving faster and faster to a 100% windows-based platform. The Palm devices of that era were written in their own code (apple-based) and worked really well. I had a Palm Vx for 4-5 years and served me very well. I upgraded to an HP Ipaq 1945 which lasted a total of 14 months. I wouldn’t advise buying an Ipaq unless you have money that you don’t want. The IIIxe was an upgraded Palm, so you have some horsepower to play with and it will hold LOTS of appointments and names/addresses. I would say go for it. If you like it, great. If you don’t, you’re not out a lot of cash.
Hope this helps!
